A Long week, that went fast!?

Last weekend we got 10 inches of rain!! Yes the grass is green. Luckily no water in the basement. Lots of people had problems. We had flood and tornado watches. I'm sick of watching soccer in the rain. Wet soccer shoes reek!! The high school team doesn't seem to be improving, so I'm glad Mikie has his club team.

I worked Wed afternoon which made my week long but, fast in that I didn't get my stuff done.(make any sense?) I think I am going to be the one going to Florida with Mikie. I still need to make arrangements, waiting to get more info. The tourney is from Nov 20-25. He will turn 16 in Tampa.

We are going to put a new roof on in the next 4-6 weeks. They don't have to remove everything, but they will scrap the roof and put shingles over it. We are going with a good company that will guarantee for 30 years. Even though we will be selling, it will be worth it to put on a good roof.

I've been working Wed nights with a girls' group at church. (5-11 years old) I guess I'm more strict then I thought I was. I don't like disorder. I'm amazed that some adults put up with or don't correct bad behavior. I am not a lead teacher, just a helper so I don't feel like I can correct behavior as much as I would like to. We will see how long I can put up with it.

Not too much going on this week end, so I will be able to get stuff done at home.

This week went really fast! The weather started out very hot and muggy 90's,and went to very wet and muggy! Michael's team won their first game last night 1-0! It was a great win, another cross town rival. Michael had a great game, lots of hustle to the ball and great passes. He also had some shots on goal that the goalie had a hard time stopping. It is going to be hard for him on school nights to get his homework done. He had to be on the bus at 3:30, they are supposed to watch the jv play. It was raining so that made it impossible to do homework during the game. He got home at 9:30 and was very tired, so he needs to work on a plan. Algebra 2 is going to be his most trying class.

I did watch a lot of the RNC. I am very impressed with Sarah Palin. I think she is a great role model for the young women in the republican party. I was very impressed with her speech she was very composed and competent. I was even more impressed when I found out her teleprompter was not stopping for the applause. You would of never known this when listening to her. When are women going to become supportive of other women? Why are women so critical? We need to not find faults and pettiness. I understand women will not all agree on issues, that is different!

I need to run errands today. I don't know if we will go to the football game tonight at the high school. It is a rainy day today.
